PhD can. Agnė Zakarevičiūtė

Junior researcher, AdCogito Institute for Advanced Behavioral Research

Agne’s research is grounded in the interdisciplinary realms of consumer behavior, marketing, communication, and psychology. Her current research focus revolves around exploring strategies to harness the influence of social norms to instigate behavioral changes, with a particular emphasis on motivating individuals to shift their dietary habits towards a healthier and more sustainable trajectory. A central element of her work is dedicated to addressing the intricate challenge of engaging resistant consumers—those who display strong opposition or resistance toward behavioral change.

Before moving to academia, Agne played a pivotal role in leading an award-winning non-profit social venture that motivated consumers to choose healthier food choices. Its’ behavioral change campaigns achieved notable recognition, including nominations for the best social innovation in Lithuania, the best social venture in Europe (Global Social Venture Competition at the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business, Berkeley, CA, US), and the best social innovation in Europe (The Social Innovation Tournament, European Investment Bank).
